What the hell
Two things will make me happy now:
1) Losing weight
2) Finishing the psychology essay
Don't anyone come and say I'm not fat and blah blah. Ok I'm not. But I am heavier than I would like to be, ok. So keep quiet and let me be.

THE NET IS BACK!!!
That is like the best news of the month!
Really!
Did I mention that it was gone?
Well, from the day before I gallivanted off the Germany, I have not been able get my comp to connect to the school's wireless network.
Till now.
Haha, serendipity, my friends.
I was only going to get my comp to play music. Then I decided I might as well try the net.
Yay!
No more going down to the kiosk after lunch to fight with people for a measly few minutes on the net.
No more going to school every other day just so that I can use the net longer than 3 minutes.
No more needing to check something out and then realising I have no connection within reach.
No more having to read The Straits Times very quickly and with only half a mind because I also need to check my mail, renew my library books ang talk on msn all at the same time.
Yay! Yoohoo! Yipee!

good day!
it's been a jolly good day so far.
i woke up at 7+ and had too much breakfast. then started on my renal physio chapter before the sun and the blue sky lured me out for a run.
think it's because it's easter sunday, so loads of people are out along the river: families, tourists, joggers, friends. this was my first time running in london and i got a bit muddled and ended up running up and down more steps than i bargained for when i hit the bridges. anyhow, the run did me good (though not at the shiok extent yet, heh).
got back, showered and had a good (but weird lunch). i cooked fusili in chinese soup style, haha. it's all starch in solid form anyway, like any noodle. so there was broccoli, tomatoes, seafood sticks and chili padi in the soup. and i ate with the ladle from the pot! tasted good, as i expected. and the ikan bilis stock cubes i brought finally made their appearance!
shall go hoover my room afterwards and then continue studying.
the sky's really gre now! glad i caught the sun in the morning!

In Munchen I am
ok ok i know this is a bit overdue, cos i'm like halfway through my germany trip already but i can explain!
the first 3 nights in hahn i was on a farm 10 km away from the airport and 100+ km away from the city of frankfurt. there was no internet access for the guests at the hostel, so that's that. but having painted you an extrememly ulu picture of hahn, let me say that hahn is actually a very lovely area. and because it is so far from the city lights, the nightsky (when it is clear) is breathtaking.
from hahn we came to munich (munchen!), stopping at nurnberg for an afternoon. i love nurnberg and i would love to go back there again. one afternoon is definitely not enough. in munchen, pw and i are staying with xiaoling and weijie respectively. they are from pw's german class and are now on sep here and so we get internet for these few days. the weather literally turned freezing cold the 2nd day we arrived and the rains turned into heavy snow. and so i had my first taste of a snow-blanketed landscape.
we went out to fussen today to visit king lugwig II's fairytale castle, schloss neuschwanstein. the snow just added on to the surreal feeling you get from the lonely castle atop the bavarian alps. the view from the castle is wonderful, for want of a better word to describe it.
will be leaving for berlin on sunday. not sure if i'll be connected again. well, to sum up my feelings about travelling and about germany so far: i love going around a foreign place and seeing things that i'll probably not get to see again. and i am really struck by the beauty of both man's creations and of nature's intricate hand. however, it is definitely tiring to be on the road, walking more than 6 (?) hours a day! well, that said, we are only young once! and i'm glad to have the chance to see the world and open my eyes.
i do thank my lucky stars, really.
